Utility-Energy



Heritage Consultants routinely services utility-sector clients across the New England Region and in New York. Our personnel understand that superior service to utility companies is a critical aspect of community development and stability. Telecommunications



In October of 2004, the Federal Communications Commission released Report and Order FCC 04-222, which led to the adoption of a Nationwide Programmatic Agreement requiring Section 106 compliance of the National Historic Preservation Act for all planned cellular communications facilities. Since 2004, various firms have contracted with Heritage Consultants to provide cultural resources management services relating to the proposed construction of thousands of cellular communications facilities across the greater northeastern United States, including, but not limited to, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New York, Vermont, and New Hampshire.


We have successfully provided the following services related to permitting cellular communications facilities:

Municipal



Heritage Consultants offers a wide range of cultural resources management services to various municipal clients throughout the region. These include the many local and regional governmental entities who propose infrastructural development that are required to consider the effects of their project on the cultural environment and who seek to successfully complete the review and compliance process. By treating our municipal clients as preservation partners, Heritage Consultants helps to guide their projects through the review and compliance process, which can sometimes be confusing and challenging.

Heritage Consultants routinely offers its experience and expertise to assist our transportation-related clients to advance their important mission through the complex cultural resource permitting and approval processes. We completed dozens of infrastructure improvements throughout the eastern United States. Our knowledge of the cultural heritage of this region, and strong relationships with State Historic Preservation Offices and Native American Tribes in many states, allows us to partner with our clients to move their projects forward.

Heritage Consultants offers a suite of cultural resources management and historic preservation services to private developers. Our staff has assisted dozens of developers to meet their review and compliance needs through a range of services, including, but not limited to architectural history surveys, Phase IA cultural resources assessment surveys, Phase IB cultural resources reconnaissance surveys, Phase II National Register of Historic Places Testing and Evaluation Efforts, Phase III Data Recoveries, and Historic Building and Area Documentation Studies. Heritage Consultants understands the permitting process for these types of projects, including everything from local planning restrictions/ordinances to federal permitting requirements. We have completed hundreds of these types of projects while staying on budget and on time.
